The basic idea was to build a precise but safe gun for the nine-year-old son of a friend. The "toy" should allow use in every basement, every yard, on every meadow and it was not to be restricted by the german gunlaws. It should not make a lot of noise and not look like a real gun. At the same time, kids as well as adults should enjoy using it. In the end, those thoughts led to a variety of mcairrow models with ranges from 5 to 50 yards and zones of dispersion of 5-30 cm on 30 yards. All models on this page arose from sheer play instinct in the summer of 99. Because of the unexpectedly high interest of others in this project sheer fun became more serious. Now that 'serious' can be bought in the McAirrow shop and is called McAirrow Classic... .

Here in the USA in Oak Brook, llinois we have every year the McAirrow Cup with thousands of users and hundreds of millions of spectators. Beside the traditional 'McAirrow target' there are disciplines like 'McAirrow hunting' , 'McAirrow gulf', 'McAirrow gate' as well as 'McAirrow parcours'. All these games are of largest popularity and find great interest even at the TV. In particular 'McAirrow hunting', where a player uses a remote control to move a model auto with ballon as a rabbit, is the hit.
